Jesse Clark, Born in Los Angeles, CA 1992 and is currently working in Chicago, interrogates the body within fantastical spaces using 3D computer graphics, video, performance, and programming of his own interactive software to explore themes of desire and personal mythology. His landscapes and interior spaces draw influence from early 2000’s role-playing games – incorporating technological, fantastic and biological elements. Within these imagined spaces, his body is digitally flattened, contorted, and exaggerated, becoming a vessel for the exploration of an identity unrestricted by the confines of the physical. Digital body and landscape are used to embellish autobiographical events as a type of contemporary mythmaking, dramatizing individual perspective to create a visual language rich enough to describe abstract desires.
